Founder's Note
“As an artist, one’s foundational principle is to engage in relentless questioning, particularly directed towards established authority and accepted conventions. Artists unflinchingly scrutinize not only external factors but also introspectively challenge the self, the familiar, and the habitual.
The concept of the ‘Museum of Scroll’ emanates from this paradigm.
At its core, every artistic endeavor commences with an idea—a concept that, like thought itself, exists in the realm of abstraction. Abstraction, when introduced at the inception of a creative process, has the potential to compromise our capacity to keenly observe and subsequently undergo the transformative journey of self discovery.
Our abstractions are anchored in the tangible world, emphasizing the crucial link between imagination and reality. Abstraction, in its truest essence, ought to be refined to the point of self-explanation, thereby elucidating its inherent origins.
In our pursuit of artistic expression, we embrace simplicity as our guiding principle. Authenticity, devoid of pretentiousness, epitomizes our identity.
The contemporary human experience increasingly resembles a fleeting visual spectacle where, much like the act of scrolling through digital information, we passively navigate a deluge of multifaceted data and stimuli.
Our artistic mission is to render visible humanity’s struggle to grapple with the sensory and psychological inundation of this modern age, fostering awareness and consciousness. Similar to art itself, our objective does not center around reform; rather, it aspires to serves as a beacon, inviting individuals to perceive the world unadulterated by personal biases and distortions.”
